The Taliban have imposed restrictions on bank withdrawals in Afghanistan, a media report said on Sunday.


In an official directive, the central financial institution of Afghanistan, De Afghanistan Lender, has purchased all private and worldwide financial institutions to restrict withdrawal to their specific buyers to $200 which equals AFS2,000 per week, stated the Khaama News report.







The directive reads that the conclusion is produced soon after monetary problems arose in Afghanistan and will be short-term.


The final decision arrives hours immediately after hundreds of people today took to the streets of Kabul and protested towards the closure of banks.


De Afghanistan Financial institution has also instructed all the private banks in Afghanistan to resume their operations primarily based on the concepts and guidelines of the central bank.


“The owners of all firms related and particular person accounts are allowed to transfer cash electronically,” reads the directive.


It will come as there is no banking serviced accessible at any time since the Taliban entered Kabul on August 15.
