LAKE PLACID — The Essex County Industrial Progress Agency will host a public assembly on its unexpected emergency company grant system in Lake Placid upcoming week.
The city of North Elba awarded $225,000 to the Essex County IDA final month to fund a new emergency business enterprise grant plan. The IDA was one particular of 17 businesses to receive funds from the town’s new Local Improvement and Development Fund (LEAF), which is funded by occupancy tax income produced from each and every lodge, motel, hostel, small-phrase rental and mattress-and-breakfast keep.
“We are extremely grateful to the town of North Elba and the LEAF committee for awarding the IDA with this grant,” claimed Essex County IDA Co-Director Carol Calabrese. “We will go on to perform with the Lake Placid Company Association to implement the grant application. We will also be partnering with the SUNY Canton Smaller Organization Advancement Centre at Clinton Group Higher education, which will be able to help companies with the grant software.”
