Black Cafe Week invites Dallasites to aid Black-owned companies

Mark down March 12-21 as a “celebration of flavors,” suggests Houstonian Derek Robinson. He’s the co-founder of a nationwide party named Black Restaurant 7 days, and eight dining places in Dallas are participating.

Black Restaurant Week’s mission is to highlight African, African American and Caribbean cuisine and to shine a light on the variety of flavors out there nationwide.

“Food is exciting, and that is what we do with Black Cafe 7 days,” Robinson says. “We want people to extend their palates.”

Through the 10-working day party, taking part dining places provide special dishes, delighted hour deals or a discount for individuals who mention Black Cafe Week.
