Two were injured after a shooting at Desert Sky Mall on Feb. 14, 2021.

1 male died and an additional was seriously injured Sunday afternoon following a capturing at Desert Sky Mall close to 75th Avenue and Thomas Street, in accordance to Phoenix law enforcement. 

The capturing occurred about 12:40 p.m. at a retail kiosk inside the mall, explained law enforcement spokesperson Sgt. Andy Williams.

Police tape blocked entrances to the mall Sunday afternoon.

At the scene, officers identified two men with gunshot wounds, Williams claimed.

A preliminary investigation indicated an argument happened amongst a shopper and a kiosk employee before the taking pictures, according to Williams. Both men armed on their own and exchanged gunfire, he reported.

The two adult men had been taken to a hospital with existence-threatening injuries, Williams mentioned. 1 who is a young male or possibly a juvenile was later on pronounced lifeless, Williams reported in an afternoon update. Police have been not still confident of his role in the shooting.
